Dementia care

Dementia care in this practice is occupational therapy at home. The visit looks at the routine that is breaking down, the rooms that are no longer safe, and what a caregiver can change without a fight.

Questions

Do you diagnose dementia?

No. Diagnosis stays with the physician. Occupational therapy works with the daily problems the diagnosis creates.

Will you take over care?

No. Visits are scheduled occupational therapy. They are not a home-health aide or 24-hour care.
