Balance
Balance visits look at the moments you feel unsteady: standing up from a chair, turning in the kitchen, reaching into a cabinet, or stepping into the shower. The work is those tasks, not a balance gym.
Who this helps
- You feel unsteady when you stand, turn, or reach
- Getting dressed or cooking now takes one hand on the counter
- A cane or walker is new and you do not trust it yet
- You want to stay independent without waiting for a fall
What a visit includes
- A look at the tasks that make you unsteady
- Practice of those tasks at the clinic or in your home
- Advice on footwear, lighting, and what to hold onto
- A written plan for the family
